
Venkatesh Iyer (born December 25, 1994) is an Indian international cricketer who represents Madhya Pradesh in domestic cricket and the Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League. Iyer has played for Madhya Pradesh and the Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League (IPL). In November 2021, he made his international debut for the Indian cricket team, which he captained.

In 2015, while studying for a Bachelor of Commerce degree, he made his Twenty20 debut against the Railways cricket team at Holkar Stadium in March 2015, and his List A debut against the Saurashtra cricket team at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in December of the same year.
After clearing the CA Intermediate tests, he made the decision to drop out and enroll in a Master of Business Administration in Finance program, which would enable him to continue to play cricket professionally. On December 6, 2018, he made his first-class debut for Madhya Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy tournament during the 2018–19 season.
After being purchased by the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the IPL auction in February 2021, ahead of the 2021 Indian Premier League, Iyer will play for the team in the Indian Premier League.

Venkatesh Iyer emerged as a crucial performer for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) during the restart of the IPL, with the remaining matches being played in the United Arab Emirates.
